Have you ever heard of Hallmark Christmas in July? If not, you’re in for a treat! Who says that you have to wait for December to roll around to be able to have fun watching Christmas movies?

WHEN DOES HALLMARK CHRISTMAS IN JULY START?
While the dates can vary every year, it’s a safe bet to say that the last weekend of June leading into July is when the Christmas movies are going to start.
If you’re a Hallmark fan already, just tune in and keep your eyes and ears peeled for the advertisements. They should be happening now!

HALLMARK CHRISTMAS IN JULY TV SCHEDULE
Some years there is a line-up early and other years it’s more last minute. The organized list isn’t out quite yet but should be any time. You can easily look at the website though and see all the options that you can tune in and watch.
Some of the holiday movies that you’ll be watching this July are:
- Enchanted Christmas
- Christmas in Evergreen
- Christmas at Pemberly Manor
- A Christmas Duet
- Road to Christmas
- Christmas in Love
- It’s Christmas Eve
- Christmas Made to Order
And those are just a few! There will be plenty more great movies and even some Christmas movie podcasts to catch as well!
CHRISTMAS KEEPSAKE WEEK
You might also hear Christmas in July on the Hallmark Channel be referred to as Christmas Keepsake Week. It’s one and the same so don’t get confused.
During their July Christmas celebration, Hallmark releases their keepsake ornament for the year so this just tends to tie it all nicely together.
HOW DID CHRISTMAS IN JULY BEGIN?
As with anything, there are a few variations to the story. The one that tends to be more popular is that this concept stemmed from a summer camp where they decided to make 2 days in July holiday-themed. They went all out, too!
Fake snow, a gift exchange, and even an appearance from the big guy himself!

FUN WAYS TO CELEBRATE A JULY CHRISTMAS
Tuning in to the Hallmark channel and binge-watching the shows are great, but let’s not forget that you can have even more holiday fun at home during your Hallmark Christmas in July celebration.
We all know that exchanging gifts is all part of the holiday season! Be certain to check out this Ultimate Gift Guide for unique ideas for everyone on your list.
Once the gift exchange is done, it should come as no surprise that everyone is going to be hungry. Some of my favorite holiday recipes are:
- Adorable Red Truck Christmas Cookies
- Easy Christmas Grinch Bark Candy
- Homemade Christmas Chocolate Covered Cherries
Make certain that everyone gets matching pajamas, sings Christmas carols, and does whatever other holiday traditions that you normally do during the month of December.

Because if you’re going to go to all the trouble of recreating Christmas in July, you need to be certain that you’re going all out for the occasion and being as festive and fun as possible! And if you have some ugly sweaters, put those on as well!
