These Easy Christmas Cake Mix Cookies are simple to make and only require a few ingredients. Grab some sprinkles and make these with the kids today!

What are Cake Mix Cookies?

Cake Mix Cookies are cookies that require very few ingredients and can be prepared in under an hour. This has become a go-to recipe for parents who want to make some delicious cookies for their children but have limited ingredients or time.

Aside from being simple and quick to prepare, it is also known for being very versatile because there are numerous flavors of cake mixes to choose from. You can also add chocolate chips, candy pieces, nuts, coconut, toffee, or anything else that you desire.

Cake and cookie mixes are frequently interchanged; this is largely due to the fact that both use many of the same ingredients, such as flour, sugar, and eggs. Although there is a significant difference in how the dough and batter are prepared. The cake batter is a runnier, thinner batter, whereas cookie dough is a denser, thicker batter.

Sprinkle Ideas for Christmas Cake Mix Cookies

When making Christmas Cake Mix Cookies, you can add whatever you want. Sprinkles are a popular addition not only for added flavor but also for aesthetics. You can use regular sprinkles, but you can also impress your family and friends with festive Christmas sprinkles, such as the following:

Crushed Candy Canes

We already know that the season of candy canes coincides with Christmas. Why not crush the extra candy canes your child has left over and add them to your cookies instead of throwing them away or just letting them sit on your kitchen counter? Not only will it enhance the flavor, but it will also give the cookies a festive, beautiful appearance.

Red and Green Little Christmas Trees

Christmas only occurs once a year, so decorating your cookies with tiny red and green Christmas tree sprinkles won’t do any harm, right? It’s okay to go overboard occasionally, plus the kids will love the cookies and be enthralled by the bright sprinkles!

Blizzard Sprinkle

The winter season may prevent us from engaging in many enjoyable outdoor activities, but it also has many positive aspects, one of which is its vibrant colors! With these blizzard sprinkles, you are welcome to add a touch of cold to your holiday cookies. White, blue, and purple together will give you the impression that it is a snow day outside!

Tips for the Best Cake Mix Cookies

As was already mentioned, Christmas Cake Mix Cookies are among the simplest baked goods to make since they only require a cake mix and a few other simple ingredients. Here are some suggestions you might consider that will help you take your cake mix cookies to the next level.

TIP 1: Whisk or Sift Before the Wet Ingredients

Before adding the wet ingredients, ensure the dry ingredients are smooth because cake mixes are frequently lumpy. If you skip this easy step, your mixture will likely still contain lumps, no matter how vigorously you stir it.

TIP 2: Make use of Cookie Scooper

We frequently use only spoons to shape cookies, am I correct? This method frequently results in cookies of varying sizes, which is not very appealing, is it not? Therefore, a cookie scooper should be used to ensure that all of the cookies are the same size.
