Star Wars fans will love making these DIY Baby Yoda Inspired Ornament for the Christmas tree this year. A bell ornament that is simple to make and adorable too!
WHO IS BABY YODA?
If you haven’t heard of Baby Yoda you may be living under a rock, LOL. Even people who don’t like or watch Star Wars have seen Baby Yoda on shirts and memes the past year or so.
Technically Baby Yoda is not called Baby Yoda at all…he is called The Child. But that name is boring…so most people call him Baby Yoda.
He is on The Mandalorian TV series put out by Disney on Disney+. It is a spin off of the Star Wars series of movies and has been a huge hit!
I LOVE IT!

HOW TO MAKE A DIY BABY YODA INSPIRED ORNAMENT
This is an easy Christmas DIY project. It has a few steps, but they don’t take long! The hardest part is waiting for the paint to dry!
STEP ONE: PAINT POT
Tape off the bottom 3/4 of your pot with painter’s tape.
Then paint the non-taped end of the pot gold. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Remove the tape then paint the remaining portion of the pot green. Allow the paint to dry completely.
STEP TWO: MAKE YODA EARS
Cut the chenille wire in half.
Working with one-half portion of wire at a time, fold the wire in half, twisting the ends together twice to join them.
Using the pliers, bow-out the area in the center of the folded chenille shape, making a long football shape that looks like Yoda’s ears.
Repeat with the remaining half of the chenille wire.
STEP THREE: FINISH EARS
Using your football shaped chenille wire, trace the shape onto the pink felt. Cut this shape out and hot glue it to the back of the corresponding chenille wire football shape.
Hot glue one of the ear shapes to each side of each painted pot in the green painted portion of the pot.
STEP FOUR: MAKE FACE
Using the black marker, draw on Baby Yoda’s eyes, smile and eyebrows.
This is done freehand and luckily his face is simple!
STEP FIVE: ADD BELL & HANGER
Thread a bell onto a small amount of string then thread the ends through the center of the pot, through the hole in the bottom of the pot.
Tie the ends of the thread onto the ornament hanger.
Hot glue the string in place on the inside of the pot. Hang on the tree and enjoy!
