HOW DO YOU MAKE A DOLLAR TREE WREATH DIY?
Once you have everything you need, we can start making this awesome Christmas craft. Follow the steps below for the best results.
STEP ONE: PLACE GARLAND ON THE WREATH
Grab your wreath form and garland. Wrap it around the form by attaching it in the middle of the wire. Then, you can secure its place by wrapping a small section of the garland around the wire.
Repeat the process for the other half of the wreath form.
STEP TWO: PAINT THE BIRDHOUSE
Get your birdhouse, paintbrush, and paint. The next thing you’ll be doing is to paint the birdhouse. Use white paint for the front, bottom, and sides of the birdhouse.
Use black paint for the roof of the birdhouse.
It is up to you if you will need to coat another layer of paint. With the Waverly paint we used, a second coat is needed.
STEP THREE: PLACE BERRY PICKS
With the use of wire cutters, cut a small portion of the red berries off. Before you put hot glue on the berry picks, position them first on the wreath depending on how you want the overall design to look.
Once you are satisfied with how it looks, you can now dab hot glue on the berry picks and stick them onto the garland. Make sure to press down firmly to make sure it sticks.
STEP FOUR: FINISHING TOUCHES
When your birdhouse paint is dried and ready, apply hot glue to the bottom and position it on the wreath.
Press down firmly to be sure it really sticks to the wreath.
Remove the cardinal from the winter picks. Then, apply hot glue to the cardinal and stick it to the birdhouse.
Finally, stick the winter picks to the opposite side.

Equipment
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Wire Cutter
Materials
- Dollar Tree 14 inch Wire Wreath Form
- 2 Dollar Tree Winter Garland Greenery
- Dollar Tree Wooden Birdhouse
- Waverly Ink Chalk Paint or any black paint you have on hand
- Waverly White Chalk Paint or any white paint you have on hand
- Dollar Tree Berry Pick
- Dollar Tree Winter Pick with Red Cardinal
Instructions
- Start by wrapping the garland around the wire wreath form. To attach it in the beginning, I just wrapped one small section around one of the wires to secure it. Continue wrapping until you have wrapped the entire wreath form. I used 2.5 garlands.
- Using white chalk paint, paint the front, sides, and bottom of the birdhouse. Then paint the roof with the black chalk paint. I did two coats of paint
- Next using wire cutters, I cut small sections of the red berries off and then placed them how I wanted before I added the hot glue to them. Then using the hot glue, add a dab to the backside of the berries and then press firmly onto the garland.
- I added a thick line of hot glue to the bottom section of the birdhouse that would then attach it to the garland on the wreath. Press down firmly. I then removed the cardinal from the winter pick and hot glued it to the house with just a dab of glue and then added the frosted section of berries from that pick to the side of the birdhouse with some hot glue.
