This dollar tree snowman wreath is very fun to make. The supplies might be just from the Dollar Tree store but the finished product is elegant and high-end.

WHY MAKE A CRAFT WITH SUPPLIES FROM THE DOLLAR TREE?

Dollar Tree has been around for decades already. Some people are hesitant to shop at a dollar store but you would be surprised that there are actually nice things you can buy for just over a buck! They might be selling some off-brand goods, but it will save you a lot of money.

With all the inflation, you wouldn’t want to miss out on an opportunity for a great bargain. There are a bunch of interesting items there, including the supplies for this Dollar Tree snowman wreath.

If you didn’t know this yet, Dollar Tree made a slight markup on most of their items. From only just a dollar, you would see other products are priced at a dollar and 25 cents. It’s still a good buy if you ask me.

SUPPLY SUBSTITUTES

If you want to try something different with the snowman wreath form, here are some ideas you can try:

  • Thick Gold Ribbon

Instead of using a nautical rope, you can wrap this around the circles.

  • Christmas Poinsettia

Another great substitute would be poinsettias. Easily tie these around the circles, no need for gluing. If you will use this, you can leave the inner circle bare. It will look better that way.

  • Santa Hat

To make it look more Christmas-y, try it out with a Santa hat.

There are a million ways you can style this snowman wreath form. You can be creative and add a face to the snowman too. Although, if you’re on a tight budget, this Dollar Tree snowman wreath is the way to go!

WHERE TO HANG A SNOWMAN WREATH?

There are a lot of places you can hang this. If you are having trouble figuring out the perfect place to put this decoration, I’ve got you covered! Here is a list of ideas where you can hang your Dollar Tree snowman wreath:

  • Front Door

This way, people passing by or guests that would come over will notice it right away. It is a nice spot to show off this adorable snowman decoration.

  • Fireplace

Most fireplaces can be found at the center of the living room, making it a beautiful place to hang decorations.

  • Window

This will add a nice effect to your windows as it can be seen from the outside of the house.

  • Fence

You might need to make a couple of these snowman wreaths if you are planning to hang this on your fence.

  • Dining Area Wall

This is a typical place where people hang their decorations. Just pick the right spot for it in the dining area.

HOW TO MAKE A DOLLAR TREE SNOWMAN WREATH?

Once you have everything you need, we can start making this Dollar Tree snowman wreath! Watch the video and then follow the steps below!

STEP ONE: GLUE ROPE TO THE WREATH

The first thing you will do is put some hot glue around the circle of the snowman wreath form.

You can start with either of the circle but in this case, I started with the larger circle on the bottom.

Be sure to add hot glue to the bars that meet in the middle. This way, it will hold its form.

STEP TWO: CUT THE ROPE

Repeat the process from step one until you have completed both of the circles and covered them with the nautical rope.

Grab some scissors and cut off the excess ropes and then put hot glue on the ends one more time to make them more secure.

STEP THREE: PUT FAUX FUR

Once that’s done, get your faux fur pillow and cut it on 3 sides leaving one side attached. If your local store is out of the faux fur pillows…grab some material here.

Make sure to cut a large enough of the faux fur to cover the whole bottom circle. After that, attach the fur to the backside of the snowman wreath form. You might need to stretch it a little across the center part to fit.

STEP FOUR: TRIM FAUX FUR PILLOW

When you’re done placing the fur pillow, trim the edges and cut off the excess.

Just repeat the same process for the smaller circle.

STEP FIVE: PLACE BOW AND HAT

Now it’s time for some finishing touches. Apply a dab of some hot glue to the back of the red bow and place it where the 2 circles meet.

Lastly, get the striped beanie you bought from Dollar Tree and place it on the hat form of the wreath. You can also glue this down to the wreath if you want, just so it can stay put and be more secure.

Equipment

  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun

Materials

  • Dollar Tree Snowman Wreath Form
  • Dollar Tree Brown / Tan Striped Hat
  • Dollar Tree Nautical Rope
  • Dollar Tree White Faux Fur Pillow
  • Dollar Tree Red Holiday Bow

Instructions

  • Start by adding a line of hot glue to the insides of the snowman wreath form. I started with the larger circle for the bottom. When going around the circle make sure to add hot glue to the bars that meet in the middle and hold the form together
  • Complete this process until both circles' outer rings are covered with the nautical rope. Cut the end with scissors and then add some hot glue to secure it down. I made the ends meet in between both circles so that it would be hidden by the bow
  • Cut the faux fur pillow on 3 sides leaving one side attached. Cut a large enough section of the faux pillow to cover the bottom circle. Using the hot glue gun attached the pillow to the backside of the snowman wreath form. You might need to stretch it across the center part to fit.
  • Trim the edges of the pillow off. Repeat the same process for the top circle.
  • Apply a dab of hot glue to the backside of the red bow and apply to where the two circles meet
  • I just placed the winter hat over where the hat form part is but you can use some hot glue if you would like for it to be more secure.
