WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO HANG A WREATH?
The best place to hang a wreath depends on where you want to showcase it. If you have a covered front porch, the front door can be the perfect place.
If you don’t have a space on your porch or on a window putting it above the mantle on your fireplace is a great idea, too.

HOW TO MAKE A DIY GRINCH WREATH
Making this simple Christmas Grinch wreath is fun and the perfect creative outlet. You’re going to love the end result! The following steps are a shortened and condensed version of the Grinch craft. For the full printable version, scroll down to the bottom of the post.
Step One: Wrap the Wire Wreath
Take and wrap the wire wreath with green ribbon and glue. You’ll then use the floral write and attach the garland, making sure that it’s held in place well. I have found these round wire wreaths at Dollar Tree in the craft session before!
Step Two: Add the red ribbon
Once the green ribbon has been attached and added, it’s time to do the same thing by adding the red ribbon.
Step Three: Prep the cereal box
Cut the flaps off the cereal box and stuff it with empty grocery bags. Take a straight edge and draw 3X2-inch rectangles on the cereal box. Make sure to stagger them. I love using “trash” and being able to recycle something instead of it ending up in the landfill!
Step Four: Add hot glue to the rectangles
Add hot glue to each “brick” and let it cool for a moment. Use the skewer and swirl the glue slightly to give it a texture. Repeat with the sides of the box. Once done make sure to let the glue dry all the way.
Step Five: Paint the cereal box
Use the red craft paint and paint the cereal box. Let the paint dry all the way. Grab a paper towel and dab on some of the dark brown paint and a little bit of light brain paint. Let the paint dry.
Step Six: Add white paint
To give the look of bricks, add a line of white craft paint and then wipe it away to make it look worn. Let the paint dry.
Step Seven: Remove the bells
Cut the bells off the toes of the elf boots and use an exact knife to cut the fabric fur to wrap around the legs. Hot glue the fur onto each leg.
Step Eight: Cut the white fabric
Cut a strip about 2-inches in length and width and wrap it around the top of the cereal box. Hot glue it on and make sure to have the fabric showing – like snow. You can stuff additional empty grocery bags into the cereal box as well.
Step Nine: Put the Grinch legs into the chimney
Stick the legs into the chimney and poke two holes about 1-inch apart on the backside of the chimney.
Step Ten: Add floral wire
Thread a 4-inch section of the floral wire through the holes that you made in the back of the chimney. Make sure to firmly attach the wires to the wreath so that it holds the chimney. You can add some glue there if you’d like.
Step Eleven: Add the twirly picks
Hot glue the twirly picks to the back of the chimney and have them stick out from the sides. Hang up your wreath and enjoy!

- 10-20 Plastic Grocery Bags

Instructions
- Grab the green ribbon and wrap it around the wire wreath. You’ll also want to carefully hot glue it into place.
- Attach the floral wire to the garland and secure it into place.
- Once that is done, you’ll then take the red ribbon and wrap it as well and hot glue that into place. Set the wreath to the side.
- Grab the empty cereal box and cut off the flaps on the top.
- Stuff it full of empty grocery bags. Take an Exacto knife (or something with a straight edge) and draw small rectangles that are 3X2 inches in size. Stagger them.
- Add hot glue to each brick, about 1/8 inch away from the lines that were drawn.
- Let the hot glue cool down and then use a bamboo skewer to swirl the glue a bit to add texture.
- Do this with all the sizes of the box. Let the swirled glue dry.
- Paint the box with red paint and let the paint dry.
- Grab a paper towel to dab on some dark brown paint and then some light brown paint. Let it dry.
- Put a thin line of white paint in between the bricks then wipe it a bit to make it look worn. Let it dry.
- Take scissors and cut off the bells on the elf boots. Grab your Exacto knife and cut along the backside of the fur. Cut only the fabric and leave the fur to be wide enough to easily wrap it around the legs of the elf.
- Hot glue the fur.
- Cut a 2-inch strip of white fabric and wrap it around the top of the cereal box. Hot glue it on top and leave most of the fabric showing so that it looks like snow.
- Stuff any extra empty grocery bags into the cereal box.
- Stick the legs into the chimney and poke two holes about an inch apart on the back side of the chimney. You can use scissors to do this.
- Thread some floral wire through the holes and attach them firmly so that it holds the chimney in place. You can add some hot glue if necessary.
- Hot glue the twirly picks onto the back of the chimney.
