Remebering the 1990s
It’s hard to believe that the decade of the 1990s started over 30 years ago – where has the time gone? Whenever, I come across someone born in the 90s, I immediately think of them as minors. It’s an odd sensations.
With some exceptions, these are the last years of the good old-fashioned variety specials that populated my childhood. They still make them from time to time, but it’s just not the same. Or maybe I’m not the same. I read celebrity headlines nowadays and am lucky to recognize half the names.
Just an interesting observation – this appears to be the start of Christmas programming earlier and earlier in the year. A couple of these first aired in November. Of course, that is now a common occurrence. In today’s world, it feels like Rudolph and the Grinch start visiting right after Halloween.
