- 1 10 oz. jar Maraschino Cherries with Stems (about 24 cherries)
- 4 oz. of White Melting Chocolate
- 2 tablespoons of Holiday Sprinkles
Drain liquid from the jar of cherries.
Strain the cherries from the jar and place them on at least three layers of paper towels and then pat dry.
Melt half of the melting chocolate in the microwave, in bursts of 15 seconds, until smooth and lump-free.
Arrange your holiday sprinkles into bowls.
Working quickly, dip each cherry in the melted white chocolate and then dip in sprinkles and place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Chill for 5 to 10 minutes.
Once the first batch of melted chocolate is over, repeat the process with the second batch of melting chocolate.
The dipped cherries can be stored in the fridge in a covered container for up to a week.
Instead of using white Chocolate bars or chips, use Almond Bark, Vanilla Melting Wafers or White Candy Melts. They don’t seize up as quickly and are easier to work with, especially, if the cherries are not dried enough.
Working in batches with the melting chocolate allows you waste less. Also, if any liquid seizes the chocolate, you do not end wasting the entire batch.
